  1. Nice post. Embarrasingly enough, I have not seen Ex-Machina. Nevertheless, I know this sounds like a stupid question, but I read your list of best films from last year and I was wondering how you were able to see Maps to the Stars when it did not open in wide (or wider release) till 2015. Was it because you lived in one of the states where it was playing in limited release? I know it sounds silly, but I only ask because I counted it as a 2015 film. What place do you live where it played in 2014. I hope this is not a stupid question. Great blog btw 🙂 Keep up the great work as always 🙂

  2. Actually, I just found out from Michael Smith (a regular visitor of your site) on his site cause I left a reply asking him how you were able to count Maps to the Stars as a 2014 film. He responded that you were from Australia. I blog regularly or at least most of the time on Mr. Smith’s site and I read some of your comments on his site there which led me here. I had no idea. But either way, you run a great site. Tell me is Ex Machina really worth watching though? Keep up the great work as always 🙂

    1. It depends on what you like. Scifi has always been my favorite genre so for me it was a lot of fun. There is always the oscar test. If it’s an oscar contender 9 out of ten times it will be unwatchable, don’t think it’s in contention.
