A light hearted cheerful yet indifferent romantic comedy about love life death and family. After Max walks in on his ex wife with another somebody-up-there-likes-me-movieman he decides to make some choices in order to obtain what he might perceive as happiness and life fulfillment.

The rest of the film chronicles major events in Maxs life and the consequences of the choices that he makes. The director has decided to chronicle all of these events in an indifferent fashion and the only character that seems to age throughout the film is Max’s son.

There really isn’t much more to say other than there seems to be a magical suitcase involved and the film is an easygoing time filler.

Bob Byington took out the Special Jury prize at the Locarno international film festival.

5 out of 10.
