Director: Bennett Miller
Moneyball is nowhere close to being unique, original or a masterpiece, so how does it fair as simple entertainment? Well it is too long, the film needed a faster pace as the boring lulls killed the entire experience for me. 60-90 minutes would have sufficed rather than the 133 min of mostly torturous boredom. It’s a sports film and it just needed a better and bigger momentum to create the excitement and action that a sports film needs. Phillip Seymour Hoffman wasn’t well cast for his role it probably would have been better going to someone else.Big shout out to Andy!(Chris Pratt) who is doing fine after his emergence from the pit, I hope that his career moves forward and will enjoy looking out for him in the future.
The actors performances were fine, but the director, although a decent one needed to be less precious about this film and chop it while it was hot.
