The great gatsby is a classic fictional story which in my opinion wasn’t a very engaging novel. The story however is o.k. and I think that Baz actually told it far better than F scott fitzgerald, much the same way that he did with romeo and juliet. the film has a low rotten tomatoes rating but really Baz had to tell the story, which in itself is interesting but not a fantastic one, he also had to make it culturally relevant so that it could make $$$$ at the box office because of it’s production cost. I think he did fairly well. It’s probably worth noting that Joel edgerton played the part of Tom Buchanan particularly well .

I will give him a 5 out of 10 or this film because I liked the way that he recreated the scenery especially in NY and the billboard.
